The School Curriculum

Science

Children develop intellectual and practical skills that enable them to explore the world through observation, exploration and investigation. The three main areas of study are:

living things
materials - natural and made
physical processes - light and sound, forces, energy and the earth's place in the universe.

The children are encouraged to work from previous experience, to ask questions, plan investigations. carry out tests and from their own observations offer explanations as to why, what, when and how things happen in the present day world about them.
