Infant children in particular find it both difficult and unsettling to arrive after a session has started. Please endeavour to ensure your child arrives for school in time. After School Please let us know of any changes that may occur concerning the collection of your child. Absences All absences must be notified, no later than on your child's return to school. Book Bags This is the home/school communication system so please check daily for notes. It is helpful if you inform your child if you have enclosed any correspondence. Uniform and PE All items of clothing should be clearly marked with your child's name. PE days are Wednesdays and Fridays. Kits will be sent home half termly for washing. Discipline Policy There is an agreed policy in operation throughout the school, and we have an agreed set of Year 1 rules written by the children. Reward System Teachers reward the children with team points, stamps, smiley faces, marbles and certificates for a variety of reasons, e.g. good behaviour, kindness, good work and effort. End of the Day We would appreciate it if parents and younger children waiting at the end of the day could keep well back from the classroom windows and doors until the bell rings at 3.30 pm (unless it is raining) to prevent distractions for the children near the end of the day. Please keep an eye to the classroom window when collecting your children for any additional information posted for your interest. If you have any concerns about your child please feel free to see Miss McGillycuddy or Mrs Winkworth at the end of the day. If necessary we can make a longer appointment. Dinner Tokens A reminder: in Year 1 tokens are collected on a daily basis for that day. If for any reason your child does not have a token but is having a school lunch when the register is called they need to say "school dinner without a token please". Please pay owed tokens/money directly to the office. Please inform your child's class teacher of any allergies your child may have. Please ensure any medication which is vital to your child's health e.g. asthma inhalers, epipens etc. are in school and appropriately labelled with your child's name, class and dosage. |
