Points to remember:

  1. School hours are 9.15 am - 3.30 pm.
Please make sure your children are on time - all lates are recorded.
If you need to speak to the teacher - other than an emergency - after school is a more appropriate time than before school.
  2. When collecting your children please do not come too near the windows/doors, as it distracts the children at prayer time.
Please let us know of any changes that may occur concerning the collection of your child. If there is an EMERGENCY, please phone the school as the children will then be supervised in the medical room until 4 o'clock.
  3. All absences must be supported by a note upon your child's return to school.
  4. Book bags should come to school every day as this is the home/school communication system. Please check for notes from the school, and let your children know if they have a letter for us.
  5. Thank you for your co-operation in sending all the dinner tokens in on a Monday. Please remember to write down which days your child is having dinner. Make sure packed lunch boxes are labelled on the outside.
  6. Please make sure all items of uniform and PE kit are clearly named and checked regularly to make sure the name is still clear.
PE days are Monday and Friday.
PE kits will be sent home half termly for washing.
Please remember the only jewellery allowed is ear studs.
Please remember all hair styles should be sensible, and it is preferable that long hair is tied back.
  7. There is an agreed discipline policy throughout the school. We have class rules which all the children will be encouraged to observe.
  8. Reading
At the moment your child is bringing home a book they have freely chosen. They might choose this book more than once. Please read and share it with them and discuss relevant issues. When the teacher feels the time is right for each individual child, a structured reading book will be sent home, though on Fridays they will have a free choice book as well.

Words may be sent home on a weekly basis - again at the teacher's discretion. These are for reading not spelling.
  9. You will be given a homework policy - please keep it for future reference. We would like to emphasise that for reception children any work done at home should be verbal or play activities, eg sounds related to words in their reading books, board games, creative play - Duplo etc.
