Parent / Teacher guide to survival in the Nursery !Children attend our Nursery for five a.m or p.m. sessions per week. Your child will be expected to attend school regularly. Please do not bring your child to school if they are unwell, even if they demand to come, especially if:
Please send your child in shoes that have a non-slip sole, and ideally have velcro fastening. Trainer shoes are the most suitable, particularly when using the outdoor equipment. It is expected that your child will be toilet trained before attending nursery. Should your child still be wearing nappies during the day time, please speak to Mr Beck or Miss Kelsall in regard their start date which may be delayed. Make sure you show your child where our toilets are. Tell the staff if your child has any special way of telling an adult that they want to go to the lavatory. Tell the staff if your child has any special dietary requirements. Please help your child, and us, by collecting them on time. It is very distressing to be the last child left and the staff need time without the children in which to plan and prepare the nursery to a high standard. Always share your concerns with us. Don't forget you know more about your child than we do.
