Admissions

school_photo2St. James the Great is a two-form entry Primary and Nursery School, with approximately 472 children on roll. Parents are invited to visit the school and are welcome to register their child's name for possible Nursery and/ or Main School admission as soon as they wish. Please note, that if a place in Nursery is obtained, this does not guarantee that a place in the Main School will be offered, as applications are considered separately.

The closing date for applications for Nursery admission for September 2017 has now passed, as has the date for Reception, September 2017,  applications.  If you wish to make a late application for either year group, please contact the Admissions Secretary, Mrs Stock, at the school.

For in-year applications (for children who should be in Years 1,2,3,4,5 or 6) please contact Mrs Stock, who will explain the procedure for adding a child's name to the waiting list.
