school_photo2St. James the Great is a two-form entry Primary and Nursery School, with 479 children on roll.    

There will be 2 open mornings for new parents to come and look at the school:

Thursday 26th September 9am-10.30am

Thursday 10th October 9am-10.30am

The Heads talk will be 9am-9.30am followed by a tour of the school 9.30am-10.30am.

Reception September 2020 applications (children born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016)

The application process for this intake group opens on 1st September 2019 and closes on 15th January 2020

National Offer Day is 16th April 2020

To apply for a place at this school, you need to complete the Supplementary Information form which you will find attached below, you can also get a form from the school office. This must be returned to the school, together with the required supporting documentation before the closing date.   There is also a requirement to complete an on-line application via your home local authority eg Croydon, Lambeth.  If both parts of the process are not completed, your application will not be valid.  If you require further information about the admissions process, please contact the Admissions Secretary at the school.

Nursery September 2020 applications  (Children born between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017). 

The application process opens on 1st September 2019 and closes on 16th December 2019.

Offer Day is Friday 6th March 2020

Completed forms, together with supporting documentation should be submitted  before the closing date.  Applications received after that date may not be considered unless places remain after decisions have been made in regard to all on-time applications.  The School's Admissions Secretary should be contacted if you require further information about this aspect of the admissions process.

 For in-year applications (for children who should be in Years R,1,2,3,4,5 or 6) please contact the Admissions Secretary at the school, who will explain the procedure for adding a child's name to the waiting list.
